2. I'm currently studying neuroscience.
3. I feel incomplete without a cup of Lipton tea in the morning.
4. I was born in Los Angeles, but I have also lived in Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.
5. I wrote my first song in second grade. It was called "Rumors." I have definitely improved since then!
BIOGRAPHY:
Natalie Chapkis was a shy person who used songwriting to find her voice. She felt much more at ease performing at places like the Blender Theatre, Gathering of the Vibes, World Café Live, and the Piazza, with the School of Rock, than she did having daily conversations. While she was covering rock classics, she was also busy writing pop songs that document her gradual change from a timid teenager to a confident entertainer. Recently, Natalie has recorded two songs, “Connection” and “Loss of Tomorrow”, at Milkboy the Studio with producer Tommy Joyner. “Connection” is about a long distance relationship gone awry, while “Loss of Tomorrow” is about a one-day fascination with a quirky guitar player. The rich tone of her vocals sound like a cello gliding over the modern production of her songs. “Connection” was recently featured on WXPN. Last summer, as a solo artist, Natalie performed at The Nail, The Grape Room, The Fire, and the 2nd Street Festival. This summer she played the downstairs of World Café Live.
